Age Sucks!
Today i called a network (valueclick) and asked about becoming an advertiser (i want to try a few things out)! After about three minutes into the conversation the lady asked “How old are you???” After that the conversation sort-of crumbled i responded with “Why Do you ask” she than gave me a 3 minute lecture about how their company only worked with people 18+ due to the fact that adults are more mature etc etc. Personally i was offended and just hung up on her and got angry enough to write a blog post about it
Why does age matter? It’s just a number!!!! People judge people based on age and i believe that its an unfair category to judge; some adults are very immature and some teenagers are very mature (i am more on the immature side by the way :D)!!! Age shouldn’t be a factor to judge on and thats FINAL!!!!

Completely agree; I always hated being judged based on my age.

I have to say, you have a very good point. But when being baby talked on the phone by a sales person i wasn’t going to put up with that.

I hate to say it, but get used to it. You won’t shake that until you’re in your 30s (at the earliest).
When I was in college, I asked one of my favorite professors, “What is the #1 thing I can do to land a great job and make a lot of money after I graduate?”
His answer: “Get older.”
Though you may have the ability to earn a “man’s pay”, your age does show through and in the eyes of the world, you are still a young adult (trying to avoid the word “kid” here). Take the energy that righteous indignation would require and put it into making more money than the last person who didn’t take you seriously

The main reason companies don’t deal with people under 18 is due to the fact minors are not legally able to create a binding contract in most (if not all) countries. Plus there are also child protection laws which have specific clauses about Internet dealings.
