He had gone blind with SARD 6 months ago and his other senses were failing. He became incontinent. It was the most agonizing decision I ever had to make. He was my best friend, and for someone with Social Anxiety Disorder that's a big deal! I have cried for two days and want him back so bad. I know it was the right thing to do and even spoke with our priest about it as well as countless other friends and dog owners. I am so sad and miss him so much, he was such a great little guy.... I am very sad to think that I will never get to splurge on her puppy licks and barks (she was 12 years old) but I had only heard her bark once these past two months, and that was when she was surprised. She was a sassy girl, and had not been so recently... It is always good to hear that other people know what it is like to lose a best friend and family member and I share everyone's sorrow. I know I did what had to be done, but it is still a very hard burden to bare. I am on the computer surfing for some comfort and found your page. I am honered to have rescued that sweet little abused dog and gave her 5 years of love and care. She will be missed and lovingly remembered.
