Hey All,
I am looking to grow my company and I want to ask my readers for some advice. Don’t worry I’m not 100% going to use your advice and I am asking tons of people so tell me which option I should take in expanding my business. I really don’t know.
A Should I establish my businesses infrastructure (Which I know/notice is lacking every day) through the standard brick-and-mortar office space type business with like 3 full time employees who drive to work every day (A Designer, Programmer, and someone who can help me with writing content, and ppc).
or
B Should I grow my company without office space and just get people contracted for my company working maybe full time or maybe part time from home throughout the country? I Have had trouble in the past with ‘employees’ not doing what they should do/totally slack off and fuck me (they probably will read this lol sup guys?). Although I’ve had those experiences I am having now/have had great expieriences with other people so I have mixed views of it. It would probably cost me a little bit less but could also cause more of a risk for me because of someone just grabbing my campaigns etc and screwing me :(.
What should I do, post it in a comment or something. Also next week I’m going to Monte Carlo to see my grandpa for a week. It should be pretty sick and I’m really excited! I’ll be sure to take some pics and stuff ok? I am really excited to actually leave and go somewhere not in this kinda-not-really thriving country!
I got to cruise over to my moms house to do homework

March 7th, 2008 at 3:36 amI think you should hire some freelancers from all around the world.
As you said, it would cost you less and I think they would be as much productive og creative as normal employers. The chance that someone is grapping your work is properly just a risk you have to take. The chance would always be there on the Internet. -

March 7th, 2008 at 10:05 amAnother vote for freelancers.
Don’t have to pay for insurance to cover employees if something happens at work (computers can jump on people when they get angry)
No need to pay lease/mortgage costs on a building.
Easier to fire freelancers if needed (get a good contract!)
Even people who work for you at your own building can still sell your ideas to other companies
etc.

I’m more than ten years your senior but man I admire what you’ve been able to do. Came across your blog after listening to StrikePoint and they mentioned you by name, pretty cool. Here is my take:
If you are going to continue to do what you are doing, which sounds like mostly affiliate marketing,I would say outsource, outsource, outsource. My experience is not just with the price being lower, some of the people you can get have graduate level degrees. Especially if you are willing to pay a little more and go with an “established” outsourcing company. However, office space and employees you can really monitor would be my suggestion if you are working on a start-up or growing some type of consulting or services business.
Thanks again for this blog. Can’t wait to hear about Elite Retreat.

March 7th, 2008 at 3:54 pmDefinitely the second one. Less overheads with office rental and such plus employees that work for you can steal your ideas and quit too.

There you go…
Keep keyword lists to yourself and hire freelancers for programming.
I guess you already do it this way. -

March 14th, 2008 at 9:10 pmfreelancers to begin with and if you found someone really good, either partner up with him or hire him. But always test the people you’re working with in a freelance working environment =9

March 17th, 2008 at 1:56 amDefinitely go for employees. It’s hard as hell to manage contractors! Plus they’re likelier to be late, as yours is one of many projects.

June 30th, 2008 at 10:32 amHi Harisson,
Just heard of you recently and I must say I am impressed so young and successful. I admire you Harrison and I try to get some inspiration from young brilliant minds like yours, because I am old enough to be your dad, my youngest son is older than you are. You are awesome. You are right, age should not really matter, its the wisdom and the experience, the exposure and so much more than age age.
I have been trying to keep up with your blog and would like to make a suggestion, not a recommendation but a suggestion, take a look at it and do a good research and you could probably test the waters so to speak. I just thought of this suggestion from my point of view, so we probably will have different views. Since people on the internet specially marketing sometimes get so focused on what they are doing and doing well, tend to overlook some segments and trend that may prove to be promising.
You probably heard of cash gifting, have you? Well there are literally hundreds and thousands around in one form or another, I will not try to promote my own group and i never have because we are ethical (Im not saying others are otherwise, but some groups out there seems to be acting that way-
)we give no hypes, just the plain truth and the simplicity of the matter and the nobility of the purpose, its really about people helping people. It is giving back our blessings and sharing them without expecting something in return.
However having that kind of heart is going with the law of attraction and once one follows the law it comes in naturally back effortlessly. Let me me give an example, the law of gravity, whatever you throw up must go down, right? And it doesn’t matter whether you believe it or not, its the law it will fall down effortlessly naturally. And the law of giving is the same, give and you shall receive. Probably may not be from the ones to gave to but it will return back to you a thousand fold along the way effortlessly and naturally, it won’t matter if you believe it or not, it will always be because its the law of the universe.
This is not to imply that I am a guru or something, I just have to happen to have come across this path and have done extensive research. If your time will allow may I suggest that you take some serious effort and the right amount of time to go over the material and absorb it.
You know, Harrison I have a question for you. Do you believe in destiny? My coming across your blog is not an accident nor a coincidence that you are looking for something, right? Im not a fortune teller but whenever there is a missing piece of a puzzle dont you find it odd that one or two or three suggestions come across your path? But only those with the trained eye and wisdom can these disguised happening or occurrences be shown as an answer or an opportunity or the solution to something. It is said by a Buddhist Guru that “the teacher will appear whe the student is ready”
If you are waiting for me to write down my website I will not publish it here, I don’t want to ride the wave of your popularity and besides it maybe construed as self promoting if I do. So I will leave you my primary email and if you will have the chance to read this post email me and i will email it to you.See you around. Wishing your continued success.
