So Whats Next?

I received an e-mail today from a good friend of mine asking me “whats next?” in numerous ways/areas. I was kind of weired out by the e-mail which made me feel like blogging about it. After reading the e-mail i really thought about what was next for affiliate marketing, contextual advertising, and display advertising. After starting at the wall for 30minutes i came up with 3 different conclusions (one for each vertical). It is late so I am sorry if you don’t see my greatest work but it gets the job done!

Affiliate Marketing
Being in the game for exactly a year on 5/28 (well thats when i had my first website) i have seen things come and go; ringtones and now blockbuster.com/netflix.com. Sooner or later something will stick/keep affiliate marketers busy for more than a few weeks to a month. Right now there are e-mail submits, trials, ringtones, downloads, diet deals, finance, and a million other verticals; I think that the vast selection of offers are going so start expanding some way or another due to the fact that passerby offers are becoming rarer and rarer to find. If there were to be a next big fad in offers (another passerby) i hope it has something to due with gas (oil) due to the fact that gas is soon going to be $5.00 a gallon (someone should create a “gas savings card” or something). When it comes to the over abundance of affiliate network I feel that making money with a network will not be as easy as it is now therefore some networks will eventually either sell to a bigger network or just close there doors for good. In the affiliate marketing field i think thats it hehe…

Contextual Advertising
Contextual advertising is fine for people like me and you but can be a pretty shi*ty thing for advertisers. When referring to contextual advertising being shi*ty for advertisers i am bringing up the vast topic of click fraud. Click fraud really brings down payouts in addition to the whole contextual industry. I feel that this will force ad networks to optimize the way they sell clicks, forcing publishers to provide IP logs or something frivolous. Another theory of mine is that Contextual and Display advertising will combine and form Contexsplay advertising which will be both cpc and cpm or something (I don’t know its just a guess)!

Display (cpm) Advertising
I feel that contextual advertising used to be great for webmasters and is slowly becoming shitty because there isn’t enough inventory to go around for publishers (in some networks such as valueclickmedia). This is a big problem therefore I think that display advertising networks need to start working together by sharing advertisers or buying/selling each others impressions. I am not going to go to in depth with display advertising because I don’t really use it as much. But; i tried :P

So here is my question to you; Whats next in the whole internet marketing industry?
see this as a ping to all of you ;)
Goodnight,
Harrison

Scaling Your Earnings (1 of 3)

Hey,
Yesterday i had a conversation on AIM with a friend of mine who has spent 10.00 and made 25.00 per day for 6-7 months now. He wanted tips to scale his info. After telling him to keep trying/I analyzed some of his landing pages etc (i guess i helped him) i became intrigued and i decided to write a blog post.

Scaling an income on the internet with affiliate marketing can be extremely challenging because the odds are truly against you. With big guys making thousands daily they pretty much have a complete advantage over you. The main advantage they have over you is that they have already found the way to scale their income. These guys have resources up the wazoo and can get away with things us “little guys” can’t due to the fact that they suck off adwords employees and send gifts to the overture guys (im only kidding). I hope you can gain something out of my little post that will help you turn the 50.00 a day your making into 500.00 per day.

Switching from “Tests” to “PrimeTime”
Most people start a campaign putting in a small budget hoping to see some results so they know they will earn money. After seeing an ROI they usually up their budget a million times which will obviously generate you more clicks. One thing people don’t think about is your ROI usually doesn’t depend 100% on your budget; It mainly depends on who actually clicks your ads. I usually start my daily budget at something like $20-$50 and i slowly raise it and tweak it as i see a return or as i see a loss. My usual little plan is: if ROI=10% Raise Budget 15%… Wait 24 hours; If ROI goes down than decrease budget 5%. Than wait 1 day and if you see an increased roi up budget 25% Than repeat. Its weird and to be honest i don’t think im telling you my exact little rotation (im in class half asleep)! I see this as if I’m never in “Test Mode” and I am mostly in “PrimeTime Mode”.

Doubling Your Budget is not the only way to scale your income
If promoting specific niches which target specific users upgrading your budget might only increase your chances of paying more per click because specific keyword generated clicks can be generated. If your going to increase your budget how about adding some more ad-groups and some more keywords because your chances of seeing new clicks will greatly increase.

I only really feel like writing this much due to the fact that i have some work i need to finish up so I will continue sometime this week with “Scaling Your Earnings (2 of 3) which will cover scaling your income vs. scaling your expenses.

Affiliate Network Reviews

Filed under: CPA Networks — admin @ 2:06 am

I received an E-mail from an old industry friend who wanted me to write an in-depth review on 10 affiliate networks. 5 positive reviews and 5 negative reviews. I don’t want to talk badly about affiliate networks but I will do what I do/be honest. This should be fun…
Lets start out with a good affiliate network.

Millnic Media
Millnicmedia is a great affiliate network with hundreds of great offers. They also have two of the funniest guys who manage the company (Dan and Jeremy). I enjoy discussing offers with them on the phone in addition to pestering them on AOL 24/7. I am looking forward to receiving a free laptop in about a week when i reach that tier :) . Be sure to sign up for millnicmedia and than bother Dan and Jeremy 24/7 or I will be disappointed in you :)

Another Good Network: AzoogleAds
I will admit that I am a fairly new member of azoogleads massive 20 odd something thousand publishers but i must admit that azoogleads has more offers than probably any other network. If you push ringtones or dating you must sign up for azoogleads (with volume they are flexible). In addition to having a million and a half offers my rep Phil is friggin awesome and he introduced me to a cute co-worker of his at ad:tech so he gets props; no but seriously, sign up for azoogleads!

If your under 18 this is a BAD network: Clickbooth
Clickbooth terminated my account due to my age which makes me hereby declare clickbooth as a sub par affiliate network. I have heard great things from friends and associates but I guess I am not cool enough to run with them due to a stupid fucking number. Everything I do is 100% legal and it pisses me off that this network wont allow me to be a publisher and run there cool offers. I guess it just sucks for me! To sum it up i dislike clickbooth but I have heard great things about them :/.

a Cool affiliate network is: MaxBounty
Maxbounty.com is a great network for numerous reasons. First of all they are probably the most honest people I have ever worked with. When asking about payouts they will be straight up about how high they can go etc. In addition I feel that Maxbounty has an advantage over most of the networks I am reviewing here because they are not on directtrack which will give you more “BangFoYoBuck” when it comes to Conversions etc. etc. Sign up for Maxbounty and check out there awesome Takkle offer (I am pretty fond of it).

The network I am writing about now was neutral until i really started making some money with them! Cpaempire rocks; Until i started earning money i wasnt to hot about cpaempire but i have started doing some volume with cpae and really appreciate the awesome support that brandon, george, and other people at cpae provide. Rock on cpaempire

A Network which I like and have run with in the past is: Neverblue Ads
Neverblue is a great network for multiple reasons. I have nothing but great experiences with neverblue due to the fact that neverblue is a premium affiliate network which really caters to their affiliates. With over 300 offers (most of them are direct except 3-4) I have enjoyed neverblue and really loved receiving a holidays card from them :) . If your an avid affiliate marketer and like being given 1 on 1 attention from your affiliate manager you must sign up for Neverblueads!

Another cool network which I have not ran with yet (But can just tell they rock) is Copeac.com
I was introduced to the main dude of copeac at AD:TECH and have become very fond of the whole company since them. He and I have had some long conversations and I am currently in the process of customizing some landing pages to make both Copeac and myself some mega bucks! Sign up and tell your rep that your going to rock and roll and watch your payouts go up like an airplane taking off (wow that was tacky!)

I reviewed Adfinity a few months back and I still believe that they are a great affiliate network but on this review I am going to list them as a neutral just for some personal reasons. No hard feelings against joe gennadiy jerry and PJ but I just feel that adfinity should tweak up there network a little bit (Get some offers direct guys!!) Other than that adfinity is a pretty awesome network!

Hydramedia is going to be placed on the BAD side of this review due to the fact that their payouts look significantly small when looking around in the small Hydra “Portal.” A friend of mine told me to sign up for Hydra so I did and I am disappointed that every offer they have is def. not a high paying offers (they do have some good offers but not in the verticals i cover.) Sign up for hydra and tell me what you think so I can be proven wrong. I have to say one great thing about hydra is that they give out cool hats at conventions!!

Last but not least I am going to have to tell every one of my readers about the Awesome affiliate network Advaliant Advaliant is a great affiliate network for hundreds of reasons. If you do well with 4-5 box finance offers you will love advaliant. Sign up for advaliant and run the Playphone.com offer and you will be balling it up!

I know i left out some good details due to the fact that its late and I am a little tired. Please feel free to post your feedback on the networks I have reviewed. I want to allow all the networks which got bad reviews to get some good PR so feel free to do so Hydra and clickbooth…

a new great network!

Filed under: CPA Networks — admin @ 7:59 pm

As most of you know i am really into informing the public/(my blog readers) of great new affiliate networks. Due to the over abundance in current affiliate networks i feel it is key for affiliate marketers such as myself to find a good network who they can work with on a more personal level vs. a network where it is 100% strictly business. The network that i am writing about is AdFinity.com this network is a great place to run with due to the fact that they are very flexible on payouts/offers/and their is literally always one of there 3 affiliate managers online at all times!

I believe that adfinity is a network which has great potential to grow incredible amounts with new affiliates and new advertisers. This network truly has the offers of a big network (i.e azoogle) and the payouts as if you are working directly with an advertiser (cutting out the middle man)!

I try not to rant on and on about an affiliate network but i feel it is necessary to help my friends/business associates at adfinity some new business. With weekly payouts, tons of offers, and affiliate managers with original jokes i believe that adfinity would be a network which you should consider signing up with due to the fact that this network is here to cater to you, you, and did i mention you??

So sign up; check it out and make some incredible money :D

Do it, you’ll thank me,

Eadvertising.com – A Great phone call

Filed under: CPA Networks — admin @ 5:47 pm

On Monday i checked my e-mails like i do every day and i noticed a newsletter from a network which i joined but never had much activity. Since times have changed since i applied i was interested in the networks specialties so i decided to call the network and have a chat with my affiliate manager. I was calling around 4pm and i had called RIGHT when all the affiliate managers were going in for there 4pm meeting. My rep didn’t quite believe that i was fourteen years old and decided to put me on speaker-phone in the conference room. I had a great call with the affiliate managers of Eadvertising.com and have become very fond of that network. I would like to share what we discussed as it is VERY interested in my opinion.

We jumped around topics but i believed the most interesting topic which we discussed was about the experience of Affiliate managers. One of the AM’s was new and i asked him if he believed he would be a more efficient affiliate manager if he actually had an Affiliate account and was able to do search marketing to become more aware of what affiliates actually do. He agreed and i believed even though the affiliate managers had not been veterans of CPA marketing for a long time. I could tell that the affiliate managers who were in the meeting: Brandon, Natalie, And Evan cared about there affiliates which motivated me to write a thread about our extremely interesting conversation.

I am looking forward to doing future business with them and am happy i came across a network which such HIGH ZIP submit payout offers. They currently have an auto insurance offer which converts on a ZIP SUBMIT at $2.00 per lead. They have numerous offers like that which are directly their offers (They are the advertiser). So check out www.eadvertising.com :)

Which CPA network and why??

Filed under: CPA Networks — admin @ 12:55 am

I ask myself this question on a daily basis due to the fact that i see affiliate links, offer links, and more on a daily basis. ALL networks claim to have “Highest Payouts” “Best Offers” in addition to being the “Best Network”. I honestly don’t know which networks are the “Best” and which networks are 110% bullshit…

On the blogs of the internet marketing “Gods” (personally im not all that impressed with them but who gives a shit) such as shoemoney.com and leedodd.com they have had polls asking which network is your favorite etc. Personally i believe that question is extremely vague due to the fact that cpa networks can suck in one specific offer category in be amazing in another offer category. I believe a more appropriate poll question would be “What is your favorite CPA Network for ring tone offers.” vs. “Whats the best CPA network”.

So when people place there votes what are they putting into there consideration? Honestly, do they vote due to the fact that they earn more money with a specific network or because there brothers sisters dogs ex-owner works for that network?

Whats Makes a network Good or Great?

First Post, While in school!

Filed under: CPA Networks — admin @ 12:30 pm

Here I am, freshman in high school writing a blog on advertising from photo shop class. I honestly have wanted to make a site of this nature for the last six months and i have finally gotten off my ass and created something. For my first “post” i want to talk about the rapid growth in small affiliate networks which run 95% of there offers from other networks etc. When they invite you to join there network its almost impossible to say no (for me at least.) After you are officially an affiliate of them you become active and test the link of ONE campaign and see it goes from there url to tracking101.c0m to the actual landing page (tracking101.com being cpaempire)

When these companies market they provide a spectacular list of features which make you believe that this network will blow everybody out of the water. These lists state things like “Highest Industry Payouts” “Best Support” and “Most Original Offers,” in my expirience they should change there sales pitch to “Make Less Money With Us! Support Small Business In America! ;)

What do you think can be done about the saturation in affiliate networks? So many shams being created on a daily basis that i am getting to the point where I will actually say NO when invited to join these networks.

This is my first post on cpashare, i would love to continue writing more but i have to finish my homework for my next class…

Later,

Harrison
