So What Do You Want To Learn About? (and, what’s up eagle)

Filed under: PPC,Search Engine Marketing — admin @ 3:49 am

Yo Guys,
I’m going to make this post short, simple, and sweet. I want to do something like a FAQ but more on a post by post basis. E-mail me your affiliate/internet marketing specific questions and let me post the answers up here in actual blog posts. The ones that get chosen will be new posts here on CPAShare & I will go really in depth etc. :P

Also…Thought I’d let everyone know what I’m up to. This monday I am going to Cochin India for a wedding of my friend & ex project manager Sreeju. I will be in India from the 6th-13th & am also stopping in Amsterdam on the way back for a few days. I am staying at Cherai Beach Resorts what do you think ?? I will be posting from there and of course working as usual. :) I hope the internet’s fast!

Also, I wanted to just say what’s up to someone via the blog. I’ve never really done a “shout out” but I owe my boy Ryan a shoutout + I just have to emphasize the respect I have for this guy to all 300 of you readers. If you want to see who a real player is…It’s this pimp: Ryan, don’t lie your the pimp

hahahah ryan

Also.. In the next few days I’m going to be posting my Google Advertising Professional Logo thing. I took the test today & passed (my first try). I will post once google gives me the seal. I’m excited to have accomplished that although it’s not much I feel it will help me and my non-affiliate SEM business greatly.

How To Choose Offers That Can Profit You For The Longest Time Possible

Filed under: guest posts — admin @ 3:41 am

This is a guest post from my boy Wes @ Prosper202.com I will be posting more like tomorrow!
-Harrison

We’ve all been here before. You have been working diligently and after 2 months of spending your money and time to test a PPC campaign, you finally got it to work! Your doing great and your campaign is producing a positive 100% return on investment. Your making a lot of money and you continue to scale it. Everything is going great, until, you get an email saying your campaign is being discontinued next week…

If you’ve been in the affiliate marketing industry for any time at all, you’ll have experienced this before. It is always disappointing to work so hard on a campaign and then have it turned off after you got it to work. After encountering this to many times I got frustrated and told myself I wouldn’t keep promoting things that would turn off after several days, and I would only focus on longer term campaigns. As a personal preference I’d much rather have campaigns that I could setup and let run for a several years. And although it might seem hard to believe it is pretty easy to find offers that will run for easily a year plus or longer if you take the time to find them.

Now lets not forget of course, that there is a significant amount of money to be made in short-term to medium-term niches. Sometimes you can make the most money in the shortest amount of time on a new campaign that you can hit off–just don’t expect it to last very long because the offer has no history. However, what if you also took your time and invested into getting up a campaign that you know would be around for a long time? You would now be able to make your money, you can still get a good ROI, and you’ll probably earn more money for a longer period-of-time, and ultimately make more than if the offer was short term.

So instead of getting the top converting offers for the month, you could take a different approach. Instead what if you got the top converting offers for the past year, only showing offers that have been around for 12+ months or longer. This will give you the best converting campaigns that have been around for awhile and will most likely be around for a lot longer because the advertiser has figured out everything on their side and made it profitable for them–so they will continue to run their campaign for years because it is working for them consistently.

The first offer I ever ran was an education offer, the advertiser has been around since 2005, I didn’t think of it at the time, but even now that campaign after a year is still running because the advertiser has optimized their campaign and will continue to keep it running. It’s great, after 12 months the campaign is still going.

So if your getting frustrated that the networks are closing down your offers after you just got it to work; you can avoid this, by doing a little extra work. When you want to look for a campaign you can now SORT BY HISTORY and only run the ones that have been around for the longest period of time. This will allow you to promote campaigns that if you get working, will continue to work great for you. And although as simple and basic this tip is, if you implemented it, it can pay you large dividends because now all your offers are staying around for 6 months or longer.

Do You Track Your Bounce Rates?

Filed under: Search Engine Marketing — admin @ 2:05 am

Hey Guys,
I know it’s 3 AM But I just thought I’d do a quick post before bed. A few weeks ago I did a post about google analytics and how important it is to use. I said I would be doing some posts covering specific tools that google analytics has that you can use as an affiliate. This post doesn’t really qualify as one of those posts but I thought I would just make sure all of you SEM affiliates are doing this.

Bounce Rate Of CPASHARE

If you use google analytics on your LP’s make sure you integrate it in with your MCC/adwords account so you can pull keyword specific data straight from google analytics + adwords and track your bounce rates on a keyword basis. If you have a campaign with 80 keywords, a bounce rate of like 50% and you have the ability to look @ all the keywords your buying traffic on and see the bounce rates, time visited on the site etc you can adjust your bids accordingly to help you make a few quick bucks..

I really value analytics and talk with so many affiliate marketers who don’t even put google analytics on there pages! COME ON GUYS!

Dot-Asia Auctions Pissing Me Off

Hey Guys,
Around 2 months ago I bought like 5 .asia domains before the landrush meaning that if someone else has purchased the domain before the launch it goes into auction. The first domain auction I did not win was Visiting.Asia, I have given up. Another domain I am on the auction for is “vacation.asia” Which I bid around $250.00 for and was immediately outbid on, obviously.

After I got outbid I didn’t bother check the auction since I was bitter about it. I just logged in and check out this screen shot, Isn’t that ridiculous????!

$10,000.00 WTF

I’m over bidding on these stupid landrush type deals.

The only reason i paid the fee etc is because of all the travel I do now a days. I have had the card for about a week now, and I think it is worth it if you travel a lot, If you don’t.. It will probably end up being a waste!

Here’s a pic, haha…

My Black Card

Just in case your wondering, You gotta spend 250k a year minimum to qualify for one of these… And you can’t fuck up on paying..When i got my platinum card in January I told myself that by the end of the year I’d have one of these..I did it,hehe

Making money with an mcc

Filed under: Ideas, optimize,PPC,Search Engine Marketing — admin @ 5:29 pm

Hey guys, I was just thinking of some more ways for you guys to increase your revenue. Today we are going to talk about double serving ads on search engines. Basically what this means is that you want your ad to show up multiple times on Google Yahoo or any other search engine.

Double serving ads is frowned upon but there are ways to do this that will keep you under the radar. On Google one of the methods that I use involves creating a Google MCC . A MCC allows you to control multiple AdWords accounts via their MCC dashboard. Basically Google views MCC account holders as agencies PPC management companies with many clients.

Having an MCC has many advantages. The biggest for me is the ability to split up the different types of traffic I have as well as test campaigns that onto accounts for that specific purpose. I separate all of my content network campaigns, search campaigns and test campaigns onto their own account. If a campaign I have on a test account starts to perform I will optimize it a bit and then move it over to my “
good” campaign’(s) account. The reason I do this is because Google looks at the account history of the different accounts and if I put a test campaign on my “good” account and it gets slapped it will affect the entire account. It is also much easier to stay organized if you organize your campaigns this way.

Another thing you can do is double serve ads. In order to do this simply copy your campaign over to another account and point it to a similar landing page. If you were promoting ringtones and your display url read “rockingringtones.com” and you wanted to double serve this I would recommend buying the domain ringtonesrocking.com or really any other different domain and then hosting the same or a similar landing page onto this new domain. Then simple change your display url on the copied campaign and you are ready to go. Your ad(s) will now be displaying multiple times for the keywords you are bidding on.

A Quick Way To Make Money On Yahoo SEM

Filed under: PPC,Search Engine Marketing — admin @ 11:39 pm

Hey guys,
I know a lot of my readers have never really given PPC marketing for whatever reason well here is a way for you all to give it a shot.

So basically if you want an easy way to put a small amount of money down and almost guarantee yourself a profit I recommend you game the Yahoo search marketing promotional codes. With a $300 investment you can have $1300 in ppc traffic to play with.

In order for you to continue to receive credit after the creation of your first account you need to clear your cookies but as long as you do so every account that you create will be credited with the $100 in bonus traffic. What you can do is ask your affiliate manager for a few campaigns that are doing well on search. Get about 10 high traffic keywords for those niches and track your EPC on a keyword basis for those keywords. After you have spent your $1300 spread across the accounts you will know which campaign to focus on and which keywords are most profitable for you. Take your EPC and bid accordingly. It’s really hard to lose money doing this.
